The Role: The BPL Cash Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payment processing for all BPL products, while ensuring strict compliance with investor, regulatory and legal company requirements. BPL Manager ensures strict performance standards are maintained, while providing consistent coaching feedback to staff members. As a leadership position the Manager is responsible for: (1) Cash Process Management. Developing, overseeing and evolving the cash servicing processes for commercial accounts under Business Purpose Loans (BPL), ensuring regulatory compliance, controls, and implementation of new systems and/or specific business applications. Working collaboratively with the head of BPL, Cash, and Investor Reporting. (2) Performance Delivery. Leading cash servicing delivery teams, selecting and coaching supervisors, analysts, and processors, and delivering exceptional performance levels as measured by established functional SLAs, process metrics, and goal achievement. The Manager will collaborate closely with the stakeholders across the enterprise in operations (e.g., BPL, Investor Reporting, etc.), client management, legal, and risk supporting the timely processing of all cash transactions. The position reports directly to the Director, Cash. How you will contribute: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Instilling client confidence and belief in the company’s capabilities to effectively service / manage their portfolio Instilling associate confidence in the Company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value Overseeing, directing and managing employees through effective communication (written and verbal), leadership (behaviors demonstrative of Selene values), and coaching Creating and monitoring key performance metrics that are aligned to Selene’s objectives and ongoing business strategies for profitable growth while mitigating areas of potential financial and reputational loss/risk Maintaining awareness of current industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies Ensuring the company remains competitive and compliant with investor contract terms, regulatory guidelines, and processing internal and external SLA’s (e.g., timely and accurate posting and deposit of all funds received) Collaborate on technology planning efforts aimed at streamlining business processes Provide regular reporting, including but not limited to cash processing KPI productivity reporting to senior management, MSP Edit reporting and ensure corrective application occurs timely and accurately. Oversee the processing of all wire transfers and check disbursements Ensure the timely reconciliation and resolution of outages of the Payment Clearing bank account Manage vendor relationships, including but not limited to, Selene Finance’s Lockbox processing provider Oversee intra-quality control initiatives and remediate any findings Execute on audit exams both with internal and external business partners Managing all assigned responsibilities, ad hoc tasks, and projects in accordance with company policies and guidelines

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 6-10 years related experience in a mortgage loan servicing management assignment with progressive leadership roles working with complex portfolios (can demonstrate understanding of FHA, GSE, VA, USDA, CFPB mortgage servicing rules and regulations)
  • Experience utilizing MSP/Black Knight Financial (BKFS) (ICE) servicing system, is preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Specific management experience in Cash Management, Investor Reporting / Investor Accounting, and commercial loan management (e.g., Business Purpose Loans)
  • Ability to influence and drive results
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Solid organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow while being attentive to the details
  • Ability to direct and train staff with varying levels of skillsets.
  • Possess strong analytical skills in order to research and resolve payment processing discrepancies
  • Proficient skills utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.)
