The Box Office Manager is responsible for all aspects of ticketing events, including inventory set up in conjunction with the ticket service provider and the event promoter. The Box Office Manager will perform various ticketing functions at the direction of the promoter and the designated Event Manager. The Box Office Manager will establish controls and accountability for tickets and money in accordance with company standards. Additionally, this position will provide standard settlement documentation in support of all ticket activity at the conclusion of each event.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of ticketing experience in an arena or large theater facility.
  • Highly experienced in Ticketmaster Host, ARCHTICS, Account Manager and TM1 Entry.
  • Experience managing event staff and working with promoters in fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge on all aspects of Front of House activities.
  • Working knowledge on event production as it relates to sightlines and obstructions.
  • Ability to demonstrate success in managing multiple tasks while under tight deadlines and financial constraints; excellent verbal & written communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability in conflict resolution in a high profile/high volume environment.
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and move for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, have split days off, in a 24 X 7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire ticket process from event creation through event day operations and settlement at the conclusion of the event.
  • Assess daily Box Office workload, prioritize projects, and assign or reassign personnel as needed; interview and train staff on box office procedures.
  • Provide training and support on ticketing to internal departments.
  • Interact as a management representative to resolve ticket related guest situations and problems as required.
  • Reconcile daily ticket sales activity and prepare daily recap report for finance; maintain and oversee box office cash handling requirements.
  • Review and respond to all ticket sales payment disputes; contact Ticketmaster and promoters with ticket-related issues.
  • Lead and manage team of full-time and part-time box office supervisors and ticket sellers.
  • Establish daily staff schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
