We are seeking an experienced Billing & Collections Manager to lead and refine our premium collection processes, reduce delinquency, and ensure accurate and timely cancellation workflows. The Billing & Collections Manager is responsible for the oversight of all premium collection activities, delinquent account monitoring, and the full lifecycle of cancellations for non-payment. This role ensures adherence to carrier guidelines, state regulations, and internal operational standards. As a key leader within the operations department, this position works closely with underwriting, accounting, service, and agency partners to maintain strong cash flow and operational accuracy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in premium billing, collections, or receivables management within an MGA, carrier, or insurance agency.
  • Strong working knowledge of cancellation requirements, non-payment processing, and state regulatory timelines.
  • Experience managing premium collections in a multi-line P&C environment.
  • Proficiency with insurance accounting or MGA systems (e.g., AIM, Vertafore, Applied, or similar).
  • Strong leadership experience with demonstrated team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
