About The Position

The BHRC Manager provides supervision and leadership for all functions. Supports the BHRC Director in accountability for the overall efficiency and the quality of patient care administered. In collaboration with the Director plans, organizes, coordinates and directs the clinical and administrative functions of the designated departments

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Related Area of Study
  • Associate’s Degree from Accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred
  • 3-years Clinical Social Work
  • 5-years Psychiatric RN experience
  • 2-years Supervisory/Leadership in a Mental Health Outpatient Program
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • FL Nursing License
  • BLS, provided by American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of hire.
  • WELLE (NAPPI) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Active FL Nursing License required or LCSW/LMHC.
  • Level 2 DCF Background Check required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Director to provide direct supervision and leadership for all functions to include employee interviewing, recommendation for hiring or termination, performance reviews and discipline. Schedules department staff based on need. Ensures adequate staff for patient needs on a daily basis.
  • Monitors clinical documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with hospital and program standards. Monitors utilization of the processes, ensuring timely completion of the assessment and care plans as well as content. Monitors clinical management of patients and all emergencies, medical or psychiatric. Ensures completion of patient’s treatment plans and patient discharges.
  • Implements program philosophy, objectives, standards of care and procedures on consultation with Director.
  • Ensures a safe, secure, clean environment for patients, staff and visitors. Assumes responsibility with the Director for monitoring and evaluation for the department. Ensures cost effectiveness in the use of supplies and forms. Monitors productivity of staff, use of time and the amount of work assigned. Assists with preparation of Capital and Operating budgets, Performance Improvement planning and other documents as needed. Assures compliance with Joint Commission, state, federal and other applicable regulatory requirements. Participates in development and maintenance of policies and procedures and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Assists in developing and providing formal and informal learning experiences for staff through identification of staff clinical needs. Enforces compliance with hospital, program policies and procedures. Assists, directs and delegates personnel according to their capabilities to meet patient needs. Continually evaluates the quality of care delivered.
  • Monitors patient and family satisfaction for quality of services rendered. Investigates and takes appropriate action regarding complaints with patient care or other services. Ensures patient needs are resolved through use of multidisciplinary team strategies. Responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting service utilization data to support monthly LSF grant reporting.

  • Participates in data collection for use in improvement of patient care and regulatory reporting. Participates in the orientation and/or on-the-job training of program personnel. Implements the daily program scheduled activities and groups as specified.
  • Provides the Director with information necessary for making decisions affecting patient care, staffing, finance, and program implementation. Assumes responsibility for preparing and maintaining all clinical and financial data and evaluation for the program. Ensures cost effectiveness in the use of program expenses.
  • Ensures a safe, secure, clean environment for patients, staff and visitors. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned area (adult, and geriatric).
  • Monitors productivity of staff, use of time and the amount of work assigned.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned, by the Director.
