In this pivotal role, you’ll champion the integration of modern, automated, and digitalized aseptic processes, collaborating closely with R&D to redefine the future of sustainable drug product manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced Manager – Aseptic Process Engineering to lead and deploy aseptic technology platforms across GSK’s global manufacturing network. This role is pivotal in integrating new technologies and ensuring robust, modern, automated, and digitalized aseptic processes in close collaboration with R&D. You will play a key role in shaping the future of drug product manufacturing and ensuring sustainable business practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in process engineering or life sciences (biology, biomedical science, pharmacy).
  • Experience: 5–10 years in pharmaceutical production, including at least 3 years in aseptic technologies.
  • Experience in technical project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Skills: Experience in problem-solving and project management capabilities.
  • Experience in communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and manage change effectively.
  • Languages - Fluent in English (B1/B2 level); additional languages (French, Italian, German) are a plus.
  • Experience with compliance requirements, data analysis and IT tools.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Solution Design: Develop and implement innovative technical solutions in alignment with platform strategy.
  • Platform Deployment: Support the design and rollout of new platforms, ensuring harmonization and the highest quality standards across all sites.
  • Process Transfer: Collaborate with R&D to co-develop secondary processes and provide expert guidance during process transfers to manufacturing.
  • Technology Strategy: Define and execute strategies for integrating new equipment and technologies, including benchmarking and validation activities.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Build and coordinate networks of technical expertise, promoting internal and external knowledge exchange.
  • Project Leadership: Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects and multidisciplinary workstreams.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide high-level troubleshooting support and manage knowledge systems for future process ownership.
  • Design and implement technical solutions aligned with platform strategy.
  • Support platform design and deployment, ensuring harmonization and quality across sites.
  • Co-develop secondary processes and provide technical expertise during process transfers from R&D to manufacturing.
  • Define strategies for new equipment and technologies, including benchmarking and validation.
  • Coordinate technical expertise networks and foster knowledge sharing internally and externally.
  • Lead or contribute to transversal projects and multidisciplinary workstreams.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and manage knowledge systems for future process ownership.
