The ArcX Technology Center is a customer-focused R&D facility supporting US and global applications for Höganäs’ Coatings and Brazing Technology division. This role manages all technical support and operations for the North American ArcX facility. Responsibilities include: Oversees technical market needs and solutions, promoting innovation and sustainable growth. Leads and develops the technical support team in application processes like Thermal Spraying, PTA, Laser Cladding, and Powder Welding for NOAM and SOAM markets. Provides technical customer and sales support, application and customer development at ArcX. Acts as a key technical interface for customers, sales, product management, and business development. Supports technical inquiries on applications, materials, selection, parameters, and complaints. Identifies technology trends, market needs, and technology gaps based on business plans. Leads application development projects and technology roadmaps for key customers and markets, aligning with global strategies. Drives strategic technical engagement for key accounts and markets; introduces new products and solutions. Participates in customer visits, conferences, and exhibitions. Ensures a safe working environment and supervises daily ArcX operations. Hosts customer demonstrations, project work, and training at ArcX. Leads the ArcX team, including goal setting and performance reviews. Manages budget, forecasts, and cost center responsibilities for the facility. Coordinates technical service investigations, including failure analysis and material development.
