About The Position

The Manager, Application Services (Workday) is responsible for the leadership, operational management, and continuous optimization of the Workday platform across the organization. This role ensures Workday supports business, People, and operational objectives while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and IT best practices. The Manager, Application Services will lead a team of Workday functional analysts, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and manage vendor relationships to ensure Workday is optimized for performance, usability, and scalability. This position drives innovation, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes in Workday application support and administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in application support and administration, with a focus on enterprise applications such as Workday, UKG, and Salesforce.
  • 5+ years of experience in ERP solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday HCM and/or FINS
  • 5+ years in a leadership role, managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of change management and agile processes
  • This role involves overseeing team members and interaction and collaboration with other departments and requires excellent judgment and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Cloud based/SaaS Solutions.
  • Strong understanding of change management and Agile methodology and processes.
  • Experience with leading, building, developing, and mentoring a team of professionals.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and share information, knowledge, and experience with team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on system and team optimization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to scope work, develop a project plan/task, manage resources, and keep stakeholders updated.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements and translating them to system configuration.
  • Knowledge of stakeholder engagement strategies and effective communication techniques.
  • Skill in developing and sustaining collaborative relationships across the company and with customers.
  • Ability to build trust, maintain long-term partnerships, and influence decision-making through strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Certifications (HCM, FINS, Reporting, Security)
  • Familiarity with HR, Financial and/or Accounting processes.
  • Familiarity with Kainos products.
  • Previous experience in health care industry.
