Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, mathematics, accounting or related discipline.  Graduate degree and/or professional certification, e.g., CFA, FRM preferred.  Commensurate experience will be considered
  • 5+ years relevant experience in  a broad range of financial instruments, including equity, fixed income and OTC derivatives products
  • Experience with pricing analytics tools, e.g. Bloomberg analytics, Thomson Reuters EIKON, IDC Vantage, QuoteVision
  • Experience with interacting with market data providers, e.g.Thomson Reuters, IDC, Bloomberg BVAL, Markit, SuperDerivatives and others
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to cogently explain and discuss financial information/calculations to different audiences
  • Proactive team player, flexible, dependable, professional attitude, ability to deal with senior management
  • Ability to initiate and drive multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Performing valuations control functions, including but not limited to:
  • Provide oversight for pricing procedures relating to client’s daily/monthly net asset value calculation and internal reporting
  • Conduct analytical review across a broad range of products, including Options, FX, Equity, Fixed income, Swaps, Credit Derivatives, Derivatives Options and/or Hard to Value Securities
  • Analysis of pricing discrepancies including valuation tolerance exceptions, stale prices, inadequate pricing support
  • Managing price challenge process with third-party pricing suppliers
  • Working with clients to resolve potentially mis-priced assets and/or unsubstantiated prices
  • Presentation of material discrepancies and findings to clients’ valuations committee or equivalent authority
  • Ad hoc analysis to respond to clients’ valuations committee queries
  • Conducting periodic due diligence assessment of  market data providers
  • Conducting periodic statistical analysis to assess changes to price tolerance thresholds by product type
  • Responsible for conducting portfolio testing using multiple price sources to help clients make vendor selections
  • Build excellent client relationships by proactively giving periodic valuations update and provide supporting to adopt valuation governance and procedures that reflect industry best practices
  • Developing business requirements for technology solutions to automating production processes
  • Contributing to management information analysis and reporting
