Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
  • 1-3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll and tax reporting
  • ASC 606 and ASC 842 experience
  • Contract accounting, government contracting/subcontracting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or Master’s in Accounting
  • Aerospace/Defense industry experience
  • Familiarity with DOA, FAR, and cost pool/allocations
  • Experience in a prototyping or rapid development environment
  • Proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure timely, accurate daily liquidity reporting
  • Manage cash forecasting and bank reconciliations
  • Coordinate payments through banking portals for Controller approval
  • Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by other team members
  • Assist in the preparation of timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Forecast and budget annually and quarterly, and provide updates monthly.
  • Support internal financial reporting and compliance with external reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting
  • Assist in documenting, testing, and remediating internal controls
  • Research and document technical accounting issues
  • Ensure proper application of accounting standards and company policies
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Collaborate with Financial analyst in forecasting and variance analysis
  • Capitalize on opportunities for process improvements
  • Clarify, document, and implement process changes
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments on system enhancements
  • Prepare audit schedules and provide support for internal and external audits
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Support special projects as assigned by management
  • Partner with FP&A, Operations, Programs, and IT to ensure accurate financial information and support business needs
