About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the AVP, Senior Corporate Controller and the Accounting & Finance teams, in managing accounting functions, principles, and procedures on behalf of Kering Beauté and its subsidiaries. This person will be responsible for leading timely and accurate closing across all operating units, both in US, MX and CND, as well as supporting leadership in ensuring compliance and controls across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, with at least 2 years oversight across multiple Finance / Accounting workstreams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Experience with multi-channel brands (retail, wholesale, e-com)
  • Excels in collaborative work and thinking, and serving as a cross-functional business partner
  • Skilled at successfully organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple projects
  • Possesses strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage and motive the team (expected to support / coach Specialists handing AR and AP functions, as well as champion continuous improvement mindset)
  • Comfortable working with a small team and willing to take on new challenges/opportunities as they arise
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment while being adaptable to change
  • Individual contributor, with technical proficiency (included MS Office; strong preference to working knowledge of SAP, as well as PowerBI)

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on leader within the accounting team, primarily responsible for general ledger maintenance and a timely monthly close, and responsible for managing the AR and AP Specialists.
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger system, including account structure, mappings and closing periods.
  • Direct ownership of key financial statement accounts (journal entries, account reconciliations).
  • Prepare, review and analyze monthly internal and external financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions (AP, AR, other).
  • Support audits, including annual CPA firm audits and all other statutory audits.
  • Responsible for running bi-weekly payroll with greatest degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as requested.
  • Serve as cross-functional business partner, providing support to senior management and colleagues across all functions (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR).
  • Proactively makes recommendations for process and technology improvements to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness across the enterprise.
  • Oversees the preparation and filing of sales and other indirect taxes and supports overall statutory compliance.
  • Develop and improve internal controls over financial processes, including documenting business processes and accounting policies.
  • Responsible for financial and monthly close.
