Role Purpose: Manage the financial functions of the facility. Supervise Accountant(s) and/or Account Clerk(s). Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and costing and to assist Controller with annual/ monthly budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Ability to read analyzed and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience in progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills, financial analysis, cost, general accounting and manufacturing accounting systems, standard cost accounting and budgeting.
  • Good supervisory, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with strong Excel skills basic Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting/Professional Designation Preferred
  • Knowledge of MRP system, JDE knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial functions including cost and general accounting activities, product costing and capacity planning, and time studies.
  • Arranges for audits of company accounts, prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Analysis of operating costs and variances.
  • Maintenance and improvements to various accounting systems.
  • Timely, accurate preparation of special studies and projects.
  • Supervision of staff.
  • Manage payroll system, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Member of Management Team responsible for planning and implementing TQM and Best Methods Program.
  • Annual projects to include but not limited to audit binder, tax package, and assisting with external (or internal) audits.
