About The Position

This unique position located in Tukwila, WA will expose the candidate to all phases of the business operations (sales, parts, service, rental, engineering and corporate services) and learn the key functions and operations of each department in the business unit during this 41 week period. Candidate will be placed in roles to build required business competencies and leadership skills to be successful in the organization. There will be planned allotments of time spent in key departments within the company to learn through observations and direct participation the business strategy and organizational objectives. There will be special projects assigned by the executive leadership team and the departments to ensure the professional development is comprehensive, thorough, informative and challenging. There will be weekly and monthly goals along with projects assigned during the training that will require working in a warehouse, service environment and sales offices so flexibility is essential in this role.

Requirements

  • A 4 year BA degree is required with preference in business, engineering, or construction management.
  • Intermediate or above experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license is required to for some training on Caterpillar machines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous expertise in heavy or rental equipment, agriculture, marine electric power or similar environment is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, attention to detail and results-oriented.
