The Management and Program Assistant at the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) plays a crucial role in supporting the office's programs, policies, and procedures. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, including document management, budget tracking, and data analysis, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organizational unit. The assistant will also serve as a liaison between various offices, ensuring smooth communication and coordination of activities.

  • Perform general office administration tasks including document preparation and management.
  • Compile, track, and analyze information related to budget expenditures and program data.
  • Enter and track budget expenditures, purchase supplies, and manage inventory.
  • Establish, organize, and manage files and records, ensuring compliance with administrative policies.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare correspondence, and manage time and attendance records.
  • Assist in the implementation of new office policies and systems, maintaining calendars and travel records.
  • Prepare travel orders and review travel vouchers for compliance and accuracy.
  • Initiate and review procurement requests for equipment and supplies, ensuring adherence to policy.
  • Conduct property inventories and manage assigned agency property using the Automated Inventory Tracking System (AITS).
  • Utilize various computer programs and financial applications to analyze and troubleshoot data.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG/GS-07 in the Federal Service, including experience in calendar management, travel, budget, and property management.
  • Experience in composing correspondence, maintaining files, and analyzing administrative processes.
  • Experience with financial applications such as DELPHI, REGIS, PRISM, and PCPS.
  • Familiarity with CRU-X and eLMS software applications.
