About The Position

Unified is a nationwide community of providers, operations specialists, and thought leaders focused on impacting women's health at every stage of their journeys. They operate over 815 clinics, 23 IVF labs, and offer nationwide telehealth capabilities and targeted case management, with over 2,700 independent, affiliated providers delivering comprehensive women’s health services. Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, provides comprehensive in-office Breast Imaging services. They utilize top-of-the-line equipment and expert staff, embedded within their network of affiliated OBGYN provider practices, offering patients a convenient one-stop solution for well-women visits and annual screening mammograms. Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Per Diem Float Mammography Technologist for its Mammography offices at affiliated practices in South Elgin, IL, and Park Ridge, IL. The role involves performing 3D digital mammography to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office. The ideal candidate must have good knowledge and understanding of mammography, be able to work independently without supervision, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and ensure a high level of quality and service.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
  • ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
  • State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
  • Maintain registry status and continuing education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
  • Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English.
  • Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
  • Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
  • Responsible for applying analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
  • Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
  • Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
  • Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
  • Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
  • Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
  • Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.
  • All other job requests as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.
