About The Position
Position Summary: The Mammographer operates complex equipment to produce high quality mammograms, which comply with the American College of Radiology Standards. This individual collaborates with the Radiologist, the manager, and the staff in developing, implementing and evaluating department procedures and protocols. This position has direct patient care, access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist, the manager, and the staff. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology
- RRT - Registered Radiologic Technologist with Current Ohio License.
- Mammography registry certificate required within 18 months of hire.
- BLS - Basic Life Support.
- De-escalation training within 6 months.
- 1-2 years diagnostic Radiology.
- Strong knowledge of breast anatomy and mammographic positioning techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients, particularly in sensitive or stressful situations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
- Proficient with PACS and digital imaging equipment.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
