Job Description Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Drives a specially equipped mobile clinical unit to varied destinations. Ensures that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated. Provides setup at desired locations. Provides simple maintenance. Coordinates maintenance and repairs. Inspects and maintains the mobile clinical unit to remain clean, orderly and in safe working condition. Completes vehicle documentation as required. Communicates with the community, staff and other agencies and departments. Provides clinical support as directed by the medical director for HealthWorks or Mammography. Obtains optimum quality breast images for radiologist interpretation. Documents pertinent patient medical history and clinical findings and labels breast images appropriately in accordance with the American College of Radiology guidelines, which contributes to the diagnosis. Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift. Adheres to policies and procedures pertaining to patient confidentiality and security of all information and records. Provides radiation protection in accordance with proper standards as set by State and Federal boards, uses proper shielding, collimation, and technical factors that minimize radiation exposure without affecting quality of radiographs. Remains up to date of changes and new procedures by attending educational seminars or classes and reading job related material. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Requirements

  • Education - Job related course work beyond high school. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Experience - One (1) year operating vehicles requiring a CDL License; or one (1) year working as a mobile mammography technician.
  • Certified in mammography
  • SCRQSA certification (Required for team members working in South Carolina)
  • BLS certification
  • Valid and current CDL license must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Under no circumstance can an individual without a valid and current CDL operate and drive the mammography vehicle.
  • A valid driver’s license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart; and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Able to move, assemble, clean and use complex equipment and supplies to provide information and quality care through diagnostic analysis in a timely manner.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and operate handicap accessible vehicles.

  • Prior experience in mammography preferred.
