Who We Are Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization. For over 40 years, CIS has surrounded students with a community of support—empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The Male Student Achievement Program (MSAP) is a transformative, school-based leadership and peer support program for male-identifying high school students that empowers male students to make their communities stronger, and builds a positive brotherhood of support. The pillars of MSAP are critical mentoring, leadership development, developing a positive view of male masculinity, , academic coaching, and post-secondary access. The program works by: developing a close relationship with a skilled caring adult creating a community of accountability among the young men expanding horizons through enrichment experiences exposing students to college, and career opportunities in Central Texas creating leadership opportunities and opportunities for students to give back to the community The Opportunity We are hiring a full-time Male Leadership Coach for Northeast HS in Austin ISD. In this role, you will lead a cohort of young men through weekly group sessions, provide individualized case management, and coordinate experiences that help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a high school campus-based position. Occasional evening and weekend work is expected. A typical workday mirrors school hours.
