Male and Female Dancers- HOS Stage Shows
About The Position
This position is for Male and Female Dancers for HOS (Howl-O-Scream) stage shows at Busch Gardens. Applicants must attend an audition to be considered, which requires completing an online application, bringing a headshot and resume, and wearing form-fitting attire with dance heels and flat dance shoes. The role involves performing 4-6 shows nightly for HOS performance dates, up to 40 hours per week, including special functions and rehearsals. Dancers are expected to have strong performance skills in multiple dance styles, be able to perform in various costumes (including full face masks) and with props/special effects, and possess an outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to improvise. The role also requires the ability to learn and retain choreography, accept critiques, and be flexible with work hours and locations. Physical demands include lifting up to 30 lbs, extensive walking and standing, and working in various indoor and outdoor Florida weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be available for all HOS performance dates
- Must be available for all show install rehearsals
- Strong performance skills and the ability to perform multiple styles of dance to include: Jazz, contemporary, ballet, tumbling, partnering
- Must be able to perform in various costumes including a full face mask
- Must be able to perform with various props and special effects
- Outgoing and friendly personality- versatile and ability to improvise
- Outstanding performance and showmanship while performing set musical and dance selections
- Must be able to learn and retain multiple styles of dance choreography and blocking
- Must be able to professionally accept and implement critiques and notes from Leadership Team
- Flexible with work hours and working conditions
- High School graduate
- Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights (if needed/required)
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat
- Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks(use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Perform all cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
- Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
Nice To Haves
- Partnering skills, break dancing, tumbling, tap, or other specialties are a plus
Responsibilities

- Provide and maintain specific instrument including working condition and appearance
