About The Position

As a Make-Ready Technician, you will be a key player in transforming recently vacated apartments into move-in ready homes, ensuring every new resident's first impression is a great one. This full-time role involves repairing surfaces, replacing fixtures, testing appliances, changing HVAC filters, touching up flooring and carpet, and applying fresh paint to make apartments sparkling clean. You will also support the maintenance team with ongoing repairs and property upkeep and interact with residents in a friendly, professional manner. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of general maintenance, handyman, or make-ready experience.
  • Detail-Oriented (notice the little things that make an apartment shine for its next resident).
  • Reliable & Responsible (show up on time, follow through on tasks, and own your work).
  • Team Player (willing to jump in and help wherever needed).
  • Valid Driver’s License (for using company vehicles or picking up supplies off-site).
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Familiarity with a variety of tools and materials needed to maintain residential buildings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write and speak clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in general building maintenance or painting in a commercial, residential environment preferred, including general handyman work, light carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.
  • Prior experience preferably in property management or hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Repair surfaces, replace fixtures, test appliances, change HVAC filters, touch up flooring and carpet, and apply fresh paint to get apartments sparkling clean and move-in ready.
  • Keep a safe work environment for both residents and your team while following all company and industry safety standards.
  • Support the maintenance team with ongoing repairs and property upkeep whenever needed.
  • Interact with residents in a friendly, professional way when working on-site.
  • Treat all current and future residents with the highest level of concern and care.
  • Demonstrate a natural disposition towards personal and public safety.
