About The Position

The Make Ready Technician II plays a critical role in preparing residential and commercial properties for new tenants by ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards. This position requires a thorough understanding of property maintenance processes, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work, to efficiently address and resolve issues. The technician will collaborate closely with property managers and other team members to prioritize work orders and meet tight turnaround times. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential to enhance tenant satisfaction and maintain property value. Ultimately, the Make Ready Technician II ensures that each unit is move-in ready, safe, and aesthetically appealing, contributing to the overall success of the property management operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting techniques.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
• Experience working in multi-family residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Familiarity with property management software and work order systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Additional safety training or OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, flooring installation, and appliance servicing.
• Inspect units to identify and document maintenance needs, ensuring all repairs meet company and safety standards.
• Coordinate with property managers to schedule and prioritize make-ready work orders to meet occupancy deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely in compliance with company policies.
