SUMMARY Responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the production line to ensure the efficient and high-quality execution of production processes. You will coordinate production activities, maintain equipment, and enforce rigorous quality control measures to meet industry standards. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the production process, ensuring that all activities align with safety and quality protocols. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and coach team members on production processes, ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and competency. Provide hands-on training and assess team performance to ensure alignment with production goals. Operations Oversight: Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment. Ensure consistent adherence to safety and quality standards, monitoring production flow and addressing operational issues as they arise. Production Monitoring & Quality Compliance: Ensure the thorough completion of all area quality checks and take prompt action to address any necessary corrections based on results. Oversee 15-minute visual checks and verify the completion of daily housekeeping tasks. Troubleshooting & Equipment Maintenance: Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Oversee routine maintenance and cleaning to guarantee optimal equipment performance. Quality Control & Documentation: Ensure rigorous quality control throughout production processes, conducting regular checks and addressing any defects or deviations. Maintain detailed documentation on production activities, equipment performance, and quality inspections. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement approved changes that enhance production performance. Safety Leadership: Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring strict compliance with all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements across production operations. Lead by example in promoting safety awareness and best practices. Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to operators and specialists, facilitating skill development, safety and GMP compliance, and standardized work practices. Lead training sessions on Lean tools, operational improvements, and safety protocols to enhance team capabilities. Food Safety Responsible for notifying management about actual or potential food safety issues; empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within your scope of work.
