FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day Position Summary The Philanthropy Major Gifts Officer is a vital role responsible for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of gifts of $10,000 or more from individuals in support of the mission of MultiCare Health System. In this position, you will work in close team partnership as you apply your development skills and innate capacity for relationship building.
Requirements
- BA/BS in business, communication or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum five (5) years professional experience in personal solicitation in fund-raising or like vocation such as personal banking or sales
- Experience with computerized databases for fund-raising, subscription, or membership purposes, Raiser’s Edge preferred
- Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state
Responsibilities
- You will secure major gift-level contributions for the Foundations to meet annual and long-term financial goals
- You will manage a complement of major donor accounts with all appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities
- You will use Raiser’s Edge to maintain effective record keeping of donor plans and activities, adhering to appropriate department procedures and polices

- The pay scale is $93,954.00 - $135,221.00 USD.
- However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
- If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
