This role will develop long-term philanthropic relationships with an assigned group of donors and prospects with the ultimate goal being to solicit these individuals for a major gift to the Hospital. In conjunction with Major Gifts leadership and colleagues across the Foundation, this position will develop and implement strategy for assigned areas of the hospital. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • At least five (5) years of development or fundraising experience Required
  • Advanced proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office)
  • Advanced proficiency with customer relationship management software (Salesforce, Donorsforce, Raiser's Edge)

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year of major gifts fundraising experience Preferred
  • Previous experience with identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and closing 6-figure gifts from individual donors Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison for fundraising for assigned areas of the hospital, partnering closely with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to secure major gifts from families of patients, as well as donors inspired by the innovative clinical, research, and family support initiatives in the respective medical areas
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of 150 prospects with capacity to make a 6-figure gift, meeting annual fundraising goals and expectations.
  • Increase philanthropic awareness via physician/nursing/support staff orientations, one-on-one medical staff meetings, and maintaining a presence in the clinical units.
  • Partner with volunteer leadership to attract volunteers and manage volunteer committee(s) comprised of individuals who are willing to give and advocate on behalf of the hospital.
  • Develop collaborative relationships within Individual Giving team and across the entire Foundations.
