About The Position

We are looking for our next Major Accounts Manager to join the Posit team! In this role you will engage with supporting our current customers and growing our footprint within them by sharing and demonstrating cutting edge technologies in the rapidly growing Data Science field. Posit creates great software that helps people understand data and make better decisions in real-world applications. Our core offering is an open-source data science toolchain, and we aim to make it available to everyone, regardless of their economic means. Our customers are leading-edge innovators in analytics, machine learning, big data, and similar domains and generally work in R and Python. 50% of the Fortune 1,000 use Posit to solve their most difficult business problems. Although we’re proud of our history, we’re just as excited about the future because the Data Science industry is growing by 30% YoY! You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing sales team, will be building personal relationships and making our prospective customers successful.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of B2B Software Sales experience, with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Experience closing business in Fortune 1000 Enterprise and Multinational accounts.
  • Highly skilled at developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Adept at prospecting.
  • Experienced in long, complex sales cycles in large organizations that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and thrive in a high-velocity environment with ambiguities and competing priorities.
  • Internally driven by curiosity and continuous learning.
  • Proven ability to be entrusted with big decisions, bringing thoughtfulness and empathy to work.
  • Humble and collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and can function effectively in a distributed team.
  • Available to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your sales experience to communicate and prospect into existing clients to expand our footprint by developing an interest in Posit’s professional software.
  • Educate the market about the value of Posit’s professional products and then sell our software.
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievement while creating satisfied and referenceable customers.
  • Keep up with industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs.
