Based in Belmont and reporting directly to the Sales Manager – Markets, this pivotal role is about more than account management. You’ll take full strategic ownership of a major customer portfolio spanning construction, mining, and government sectors across Western Australia. Your mission? To lead the growth, retention, and development of key relationships positioning Coates as a trusted partner, not just a supplier

Requirements

  • Experience selling services into construction, manufacturing, government or related industries
  • Be a self-starter who thinks strategically to drive results in a performance-driven environment
  • Have proven negotiation and influencing skills
  • Tendering and contract management experience
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data to formulate strategic plans
  • Demonstrate appreciation for the importance of good stakeholder relationship

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer relationship: Act as the senior point of contact for key accounts, supported by a strong local team. You'll drive long-term strategic engagement across all levels of the customer organisation.
  • Be the face of Coates: Proactively embed yourself within customer businesses to understand their challenges and align Coates' solutions to support their operational success.
  • Think strategically: Develop and execute account growth plans and customer engagement strategies, working closely with internal teams to deliver innovative, value-adding solutions.
  • Drive growth: Identify and act on new project opportunities within existing accounts while also creating pathways to engage new customers across the WA market.
  • Stay connected: Travel across the state as required to visit sites, strengthen relationships, and ensure visibility across all levels of your customer network.
