About The Position

Prime Steakhouse, a premier steakhouse known for its exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and elegant ambiance, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maitre D' to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of providing outstanding guest experiences. The Maitre D' is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the dining room, ensuring that all guests have a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. This includes managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, supervising staff, and resolving any guest concerns. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maitre D' or in a similar supervisory role in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Communication Proficiency.

  • Time Management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Compliant with state Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations.
  • Proficiency in using reservation management software (e.g., Sevenrooms, OpenTable, Resy).

Responsibilities

  • Manage reservations and maintain accurate seating charts.
  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a smooth and efficient seating process.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the waitstaff, ensuring they provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining room, ensuring that tables are set and ready for service.
  • Monitor the dining room atmosphere, ensuring it is conducive to a pleasant dining experience.
  • Train and mentor new staff members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about menu items, service standards, and restaurant policies.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.
  • Oversee the closing duties of the dining room, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
