About The Position
Description Overall cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing and replenishment of soap, paper products, etc. Coverage staff for Maintenance 'C' workers.
Responsibilities
- Dusts high surfaces (above shoulder height).
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, and restores dispensers with soap and paper products.
- Removes trash, relines trash containers, and cleans receptacles if required.
- Dusts mops and damp mops floors in patients rooms.
- Vacuums, damp mops and shampoos carpeted floors including corridors.
- Covers for Maintenance C employees when necessary in the cleaning of offices, the day room and ancillary areas.
- Cleans rooms upon patient discharge.
- Stocks patient room with other items such as hospital literature, towels, admission kits and other related items.
- Stocks floor deliveries in the proper storage areas.
- Empties needle boxes.
- Replaces soiled draperies.
- Cleans patient refrigerators.
