Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
• General mathematics ability required to perform job
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
• Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)

Responsibilities

• Work in a setting that will allow them to perform work on electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or welding
• Set up machinery and equipment
• Tear down and overhaul equipment such as gear boxes
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
• Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear
• Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, and hand tools, or power tools
• Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair
• Operate hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment
• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance
• Inspect mechanical components to identify problems
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and components, and repair as needed
