Requirements

  • State approved Maintenance Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, supervise, and direct all plant maintenance activities.
  • Ability to develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain documentation necessary for proper record keeping.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) and CMMS programs.
  • Have a strong electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic background.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of OSHA, the National Electric Code, and the NFPA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities related to plant equipment.
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • Resolve or escalate any safety concerns.
  • Stop working if safe conditions are not present.
  • Immediately report any safety incidents.
  • Effectively communicate with all maintenance personnel across all shifts. This includes explaining jobs, presenting Tier 1 information, entering shift notes, and email communication.
  • Assign jobs to maintenance personnel.
  • Track job progress & prioritize tasks.
  • Reassign associates if necessary.
  • Follow-up regularly throughout a job's progression.
  • Perform regular Safety, 5S, and workmanship audits.
  • Assist with repairs, projects, & PM activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with other department leaders. This includes giving repair status updates, following up & verifying completed work, and scheduling upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Establish preventative and predictive maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and production standards following all ISO and company procedures.
  • Address production concerns and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the selection, qualification, and development/training of Maintenance personnel.
  • Plan and recommend future equipment and facility requirements.
  • Support in lean activities as needed
