About The Position

Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. The Maintenance Worker provides a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. Provides after-hours coverage for and responds to emergencies as needed. Maintenance Worker duties may include: Performs repair or general maintenance of facilities, buildings, grounds and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier and painting tasks. Keeps log of completed repairs and maintenance requests. Purchase supplies as requested. Repairs and treats structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets and roofs. Installs and repairs base cove and trim, vinyl tile or sheet goods and carpets. Moves and assists in transportation of furniture and equipment. Sets up and moves furniture. Responds to maintenance requests and emergencies timely and in a professional manner. Locks and unlocks buildings, checks area for security and reports all discrepancies. Cleans agency owned facilities to include rental properties and main facility structures, appropriately using hazardous industrial strength cleaning chemicals and equipment. Performs custodial duties as requested. Performs preventative and minor maintenance, to include but not limited to HVAC, mechanical, electrical and structural programs, according to provided schedule. Performs grounds work to include snow removal and lawn care/maintenance and pavement cleaning. Remodels and renovates agency buildings, including framing, dry-walling, taping, texturing, painting, finish carpentry and extensive cabinet construction. Develops cost estimates for remodeling and renovation projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of current experience in mechanical maintenance, custodial work, grounds care and building maintenance or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Have proven knowledge in the fields of electrical and HVAC.
  • First Aid/CPR Certifications
  • Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance
