Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a maintenance environment required.
- Mechanical repair, general welding, ability to use hand tools, hand-held power tools, and basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving more complex maintenance issues without direct oversight preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is available and online to meet production goals
- Troubleshoot and make repairs to existing plant equipment, install new equipment, and building maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain a positive attitude amidst unplanned events and a willingness to be flexible with work volume and type.
- Willingness to contribute to the greater plant as a liaison to safety, quality, engineering, or production programs.
- Provide support to plant operations and other teams on their assigned shift to ensure equipment is available as needed for production
- Execute urgent work orders and special projects.
- Work with various hand tools, power tools, welders and cutting equipment to repair plant equipment
- Perform sanitary and non-sanitary welding and pipe fitting, per skill level
- Repair, assembly and installation of sanitary and utility service valves
- Perform daily PMs as assigned
- Operate forklift and aerial lifts
- Help as required in the parts storeroom
- Contribute to plant-wide programs in safety, quality, engineering, or production
- May periodically be asked to serve as “on call” outside of standard scheduled hours to support critical work. During on call times, must be available via phone and to come on site as needed
- Basic computer skills.
