About The Position

The maintenance worker performs janitorial duties including, but not limited to: emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, and cleaning windows. In addition, the Maintenance Worker will assist with ensuring enforcement vehicles are properly maintained, delivering motor vehicles to repair facilities when necessary, performing minor repairs and adjustments on motor vehicles if necessary, helping to maintain records of vehicle repairs and maintenance, and assists with maintaining automotive supplies. The Maintenance Worker will also be responsible for maintaining the facility and surrounding grounds in a neat, clean manner by performing general landscaping, and completing other duties as assigned. Under direction of the Field Support Sergeant, the maintenance worker is accountable for the maintenance of the building and grounds and assisting with the vehicle fleet. You will find the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.

Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
  • Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Maintenance Worker classification to be eligible to take the examination.
