About The Position

Community Healthcare Network (CHN) is a not-for-profit organization providing more than 65,000 New Yorkers with primary and behavioral healthcare, dental, nutrition, wellness, and needed support services. Our network is made up of 14 federally qualified health centers throughout Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan, along with a fleet of mobile vans that bring health services to underserved people in need throughout New York City. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Driver License with good driving record.
  • Three years related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Facility Management staff, coordinates work needed to keep Central Office, the clinics and satellite offices in compliance with regulations of funding sources, as well as, local, state, and federal code requirements, including OSHA regulations.
  • Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
  • Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, repairs and replaces broken windows.
  • Reviews work requests, establishes priorities, delegate’s appropriate work and ensures progress of and completion of work in a safe environment.
  • Installs, moves, repairs, and removes equipment and utilities within the building.
  • Assists in overseeing outside contractors.
  • Provides training to new and existing employees.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Conducts a physical inventory of fixed assets and supplies semi-annually. Work with Finance department to conduct.
  • Performs in-service classes to staff as assigned.
  • Complies with Employee Health Service requirements.
  • Facilitates related services for health center clients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
  • Drives Mail Van to and from clinics, hospitals or other locations as directed when required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
