JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for troubleshooting and utilizing advanced trade skills in providing maintenance for the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Rose Gaming Resort policies, practices, and procedures.  Complies with all applicable standards, policies, & procedures, including safety procedures & the maintenance of a clean work area Responds to and completes daily work order requests involving all aspects of Performs weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual, and other preventative maintenance checks and Repairs furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, equipment, and anything else that may require. Understands the principles and operation of fire sprinkler. Performs small welding tasks as required. Responds to and assist with plumbing, electrical, and other facility related incidents. May be required to operate a pressure washer and provide required cleaning as needed. Responsibilities may include operating a forklift or aerial lift and passing the required training to do so. Will be required to participate in safety training and pass associated training test.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Generates work orders that address deficiencies in need of correction. Assembles, positions, and mounts heating or cooling equipment, following blueprints. Studies blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturer’s recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components. Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe or tubing, using pipefitter's tools. Fabricates, assembles, and installs duct work and chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools and welding equipment. Sprays restricted-use chemical solutions, powders, and gases on or near surfaces of a building to eliminate pests. Identifies invading pests, including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitos, or bed bugs. Sets and maintains mechanical traps and place bait—keeping records at each such trap to demonstrate timely inspections. Removes dead rodents and dispose of properly. Ensures safety of team members & guests by limiting application strength and rates to not exceed manufacturer recommendations.   REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESIn addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations. Attend required training sessions offered by the Company. Obtain and retain required license(s). Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department. Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming. Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience involving maintenance trades including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical and other basic maintenance skills.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in commercial facility maintenance.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Read Company or departmental reports, newsletters, and documents.
  • Virginia Racing Commission License
  • Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Gaming, Hospitality, or Customer service work experience preferred.
  • Technical school or formal apprenticeship is preferred and may be required based on needs of the operation.
