Maintenance Worker I - Parks
About The Position
As a Maintenance Worker I with our Parks team, you will be performing a variety of tasks to ensure the city parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities are well-kept and safe for public use including: Mowing, weeding, trimming, and landscaping Assisting with repairs to park structures, benches, and equipment Inspecting and cleaning facilities as well as collecting and disposing of litter/trash Performing event setup and takedown Preparing athletic fields for games Helping with snow removal and providing support to the other Public Works teams as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic, good attitude, and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain regular and dependable attendance
Responsibilities
