Our Facilities Services unit supports everything from custodial and landscape work to maintenance and work-order management across the District. Applications are currently being accepted for Maintenance Worker / HVAC Electrical in the HVAC & Electrical, located at DSC/Facilities Services - 1544 Frazee Rd, San Diego CA 92108. Hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs. Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
  • At least three years of experience in building construction or maintenance trades, including at least one year of apprentice-level HVAC or electrical repair experience.
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration, electrical systems, energy management controls, and safe work practices.
  • Skill in using tools, methods and equipment to maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair HVAC and electrical systems, and ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Ability to read sketches, drawings, blueprints, and to maintain logs, reports and records.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in a diverse educational environment.
