About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM! Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a full time Maintenance Worker. The Maintenance Worker will perform routine and specific maintenance services which may include grounds work. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment which may involve plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical equipment repair or similar. Handle all equipment in a safe manner to prevent accidents and demonstrate good working knowledge of tools and their safe use. Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner. Inspect and maintain plumbing system, replace or repair faucets, toilet stools, urinals, traps, drains, basins and bathtubs, as needed; repair or refinished furniture in rooms, offices and dining room as needed. Assist with installations, remodeling, or renovations as needed. Take appropriate precautions ensuring proper tag out and lock out procedures when working on equipment. Follow preventive maintenance schedule / instruction and complete reports, as requested. Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance areas and mechanical rooms. Perform tasks such as painting, carpentry, iron work, locks and door repairs, preventive maintenance programs. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. We offer a supportive and healthy environment with 24-hour care that allows people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs. Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility that provides acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must have one to five years' maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and HVAC system required
  • Experience with general building operations
  • Must have the ability to multi-task
  • Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification
  • New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)
