About The Position
It's More Than a Job, It's a Calling! Position: Maintenance Trades Specialist I (Electrician) Location: Christ Medical Center; Oak Lawn, IL. Full Time; 1st shift, Monday-Friday Major Responsibilities: Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Documents through use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems such as plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, HVAC and electrical systems. Manage response and repairs associated with emergencies such as leaks, floods, water outages, fires, power outages, equipment failures, etc. Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments. Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than 2 Years Experience in equipment maintenance
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures.
- Basic computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight with basic technical skills in facility maintenance.
- Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force.
- Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions.
- Position requires travel.
- May be exposed to road/weather hazards.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Nice To Haves
- Trade/Tech School Certificate
- Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education or periodic renewal to maintain.
- Preferred: 1+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
