Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • A strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with team members at all levels.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office and SAP.
  • Willingness to work an 8-hour day shift (with weekends/overtime as needed) or 12-hour rotating swing shift (days/nights/weekends/holidays as scheduled; training on 8-hour schedule)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely and walk up to ¼ mile throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plant maintenance (pumps, tank agitators, conveyors, elevators) preferred.
  • Welding experience with stainless steel and carbon steel using Stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), and/or MIG (GMAW) is highly preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HAZWOPER, OSHA, PSM, RCRA and DOT regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plant troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Rebuild and align rotating equipment, including pumps and other mechanical systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain detailed equipment files.
  • Maintain sufficient spare parts inventory and keep maintenance shop and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Assist in developing and improving plant maintenance procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and mitigate plant process issues in partnership with operations.
  • If experienced, support fabrication and equipment repair using Stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding techniques on stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Complete HAZWOPER training and properly contain, clean, package and label hazardous waste in compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, HM-126 and DOT regulations.
