About The Position

Village Green is actively seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is crucial for ensuring the timely completion of various work orders and special projects, maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property, and delivering exceptional customer service to residents. The role encompasses a wide range of maintenance tasks, including expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, and appliance repair or replacement. A significant part of the job involves preparing apartments for new residents through comprehensive turns. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, responding promptly to all service requests and on-call emergencies as directed by management, and consistently maintaining the property's exterior to ensure appealing curb appeal. Additional duties include general housekeeping and, when necessary, snow removal during winter months, as well as maintenance of pools, spas, and associated areas if applicable. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in the hotel industry or multifamily housing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General computer knowledge
  • Strong experience with plumbing

  • Availability for on-call purposes
  • Flexibility and ability to work weekends when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Timely completion of work orders and special projects
  • Knowledge in HVAC
  • Completion of plumbing and electrical service requests
  • Completion of apartment turns, including Plumbing, Electrical, Drywall repair, Painting, Appliance repair/replacement
  • Servicing residents in a friendly, customer service-oriented manner
  • Diagnoses problems and repairs in the areas of electrical
  • Responds to all service requests on-call emergencies as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager, which must be completed in a timely and professional manner
  • Assists in maintaining the exterior of the property daily to provide clean and acceptable curb appeal at all times
  • Housekeeping duties as required
  • Snow removal during winter months, when needed
  • Performs property maintenance of pools, spas, and pool areas if applicable
