About The Position

Maintenance Technician Titan Florida, LLC has an opening for a Maintenance Technician for its Estero, FL aggregates plant. This wage non-exempt position will report to the and site Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and on-job training.
At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance.
Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
Ability to understand and follow the oral and written instructions sufficient to carry out repair orders and understand maintenance records and equipment specifications.
Basic knowledge of mathematics and fractions for hardware.
Ability to maintain basic records for repair work done.
Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, MSHA regulations, and of related safety practices.
Knowledge of principles and practices used to diagnose equipment issues.
Ability to interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Ability to task train other personnel and lead repair jobs.
Must be able to perform heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally: and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently: and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to work weekends and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations. (Titan & MSHA)
While plant is running, ensure there is no material contamination and inspect the plant for deficiencies as you work.
Perform welding, grinding, and cutting as required.
Grease lubrication points throughout the plant on a regular basis and as directed.
Knowledge of hardware sizes, general mechanics, hand tools, power tools, and repair practices.
Assist supervision in complex repairs to the plant and other systems on site.
Have a general understanding of conveyors, crushers, screens, screws, and other aggregate processing equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections on fixed and mobile equipment (water truck, forklift, manlift, etc.)
Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis when problems arise.
Communicate efficiently with the Lead and Manager.
Maintain records of work performed to assist in tracking equipment history.
Maintain exterior, interior shop and work area cleanliness.
Able to proficiently operate a forklift, manlift, water truck, and other service equipment as required.
