About The Position

Install, maintain, and repair all furnaces, equipment, and buildings in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications, utilizing knowledge of computer hardware, personal computers (PC’s), software, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), variable frequency drivers (VFD’s), electronic equipment, electrical equipment, mechanical hardware, piping, and welding. Install, configure and troubleshoot microprocessor-based systems, electronic equipment and power distribution equipment. Provide support to maintenance manager, maintenance department and production department as required.

Requirements

  • Requires a technical degree in industrial maintenance with motor controls & plc logic or; Three years’ experience in industrial electrical and mechanical systems, and three years’ experience in an industrial environment.
  • Must complete and pass all assigned MTI courses.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with Paulo’s Vehicle Use Policy.
  • Must be to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Must have proven ability in temperature uniformity survey.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, configure and repair all computer hardware, electrical power distribution equipment, electrical controls and related electrical equipment and systems such as PLC’s, electronic scales, process controllers, induction machines, heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, instruments, recorders, units, mechanical hardware etc.
  • Layout and build electrical panels; install wiring systems for new and used equipment installations.
  • Modify, program and update PLC and equipment computer programs including integrated proportional (PID) control systems as required.
  • Maintain PLC and process controller hardware and software inventory.
  • Implement and update the temperature uniformity survey (TUS) program to conform to aircraft, military and automotive specifications.
  • Maintain such data for review.
  • Maintain VFD’s, and automatic gas atmosphere controls.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary testing instruments and fixtures.
  • Backup special instrumentation data, control application programs and PLC programs as required.
  • Perform duties of a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic “A” or “B”.
  • Ability to lead and train peers on equipment repairs and ensure repairs are completed successfully.
  • Travel to and participate in job-related meetings, conventions, training, etc. Such travel may require overnight stays of one or more nights.
