A Day in the Life Perform general maintenance and repairs of building, including but not limited to: minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair and cleaning. Perform unit turns including but not limited to: servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical, replace old or faulty parts, re-key locks, replace burnt out light bulbs and interior painting. Address and follow up as necessary on all residents’ work order requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers and work with them to produce the best product and pricing for the properties. Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to, residents, tenants, the Property manager, Portfolio manager, office staff, and vendors. Complete all work in a timely and professional manner. Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests

Requirements

3 years general building maintenance experience or equivalent training
Computer proficient (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Physically able to perform maintenance work in most weather conditions.
Familiarity with Washington State and City of Seattle Landlord-Tenant laws helpful
Personal independence, drive and self-initiative.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to implement staffing resources effectively
Ability to quantify and produce expected results and be responsible for the results of the work
Aesthetically oriented with an eye for detail
Strong organizational skills
Strong and effective leadership skills
Work well under pressure with excellent problem solving skills
Knowledge of building maintenance and custodial practices and strategies

Nice To Haves
