Apply both electrical and mechanical related knowledge to test, diagnose, maintain, repair and modify developmental or operational machinery and control equipment and circuitry in facility. Work requires an in-depth knowledge of various trades. Performs a wide variety of electrical and electronic maintenance and mechanical service work on sophisticated electronic equipment, machines and/or controls. Diagnoses and remedies troubles, repairs and replaces equipment. Installs, maintains, and/or repairs equipment. Corporate: Adheres to the HTGSS policies and procedures Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core Values Complies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and procedures Treats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesy Always strives to maintain a positive work environment Assists in managing the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget Performs additional assignments / duties as assigned EHS Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment Meets company safety goals Technical: Inspects and checks equipment for proper operating condition, makes necessary adjustments, logs test readings, and maintains, repairs, or replaces all essential equipment parts Minimum of familiarity of basic Ethernet networking components Capable of working with outside contractors for trouble shooting procedures Industrial PLC programming and operation – minimum 1yr hands on experience: Mitsubishi experience is a bonus Self-motivated person that works with little direction Understanding urgency to trouble shoot machines and bring production back on line Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties as required Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates Proficient with metalworking machinery to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures Electrical Soldering skills and Copper Tubing Sweating skills are required Electric Welding skills are required – Stick – Aluminum and Stainless TIG (or willing to learn TIG after hire) OSHA 10 or higher certification; commitment to after hire date is acceptable Competent level of commercial/industrial safety gear like fall arrestors, harnesses, etc. Proficient in safe use of scissor and boom lifts and various types of ladders Basic knowledge of current NEC, NFPA, ADA code compliance Minimum of working knowledge of safe machine shop/tool practices Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances Prepare parts sketches and write work orders Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and testing Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products such as industrial machinery or equipment, and measuring instruments Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information Research, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment Strict adherence to lock out tag out procedures
