About The Position

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support our client’s reliable operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment in a food production facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this mid-level role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability—particularly within IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) processing and packaging operations. This is a hands-on position for a technician who can work independently while supporting and mentoring junior team members. Pay: $27-31/DOE Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday Swing Shift (occasional overtime and weekends as needed)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of production and packaging equipment
  • Experience with refrigeration systems, preferably in IQF or cold-process operations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
  • Familiarity with GMPs in a food manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
  • Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts
  • Metal fabrication experience
  • Exposure to automation, PLCs, or system controls
  • Experience working in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related issues
  • Monitor production and IQF refrigeration systems and address performance irregularities promptly
  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs to support continuous operations
  • Ensure all maintenance work meets safety standards, GMPs, and company policies
  • Conduct safety inspections and correct hazards as identified
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
  • Document work orders, repairs, inspections, and PMs using maintenance management software
  • Support and mentor Maintenance Technician I staff; assist with onboarding and training
  • Identify improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
