Requirements

  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, building services, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple disciplines (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic power tools
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices, including:
  • Email and communication tools
  • Work Order Management Systems and CMMS software
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with BAS (Building Automation Systems) and maintenance software
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dirt, dust, oils, grease, noise, and various temperatures at times.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and climb for extended periods during assigned shifts.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts, including overtime and on-call hours as need
  • Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certifications in maintenance-related trades preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment
  • Service HVAC systems: replace filters, clean ducts, and troubleshoot performance issues
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including lighting and wiring
  • Perform plumbing repairs: fix leaks, unclog drains, and maintain fixtures
  • Complete light carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture
  • Paint and finish surfaces for upkeep and aesthetics
  • Maintain outdoor areas: landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery
  • Respond quickly to emergency repair requests
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders
  • Install and set up new equipment and ensure proper functionality
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors
  • Provide excellent service to internal teams by addressing facility-related concerns
