About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems across various industrial and commercial settings. This position is responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting malfunctions, and executing timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The Maintenance Technician collaborates closely with other team members to implement preventive maintenance programs that extend the lifespan of machinery and infrastructure. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalate, thereby supporting continuous production and operational excellence. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to a safe, reliable, and productive work environment by maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in optimal condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
  • Special attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strict adherence to safety directives.
  • Be able to interpret company policies to workers.
  • Fully skilled mechanic able to repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Electrical skill set performing/troubleshooting 3 phase &1 phase wiring and reading schematics.
  • Welding skill set performing Mig/Tig & stick welding and torch cutting.
  • Skilled in building trades consisting of electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be able to provide hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards such as OSHA.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to reduce downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with facility management and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and implement safety protocols.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues under time-sensitive conditions to restore functionality quickly.
