About The Position
Amira Minnetonka, a new 55+ active adult rental community, is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team!
Requirements
- Two years education and/or experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management.
- Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows.
- Ability to motivate oneself and work independently
- Organizational skills
- Ability to relate to the elderly in a patient, compassionate and courteous manner.
- Current, valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Boiler License preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
- Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
- Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues.
- Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
- Maintain the grounds, trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
- Assist with painting apartments during turnover, as well as hallway touch ups.
- Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
- Shovel and salt sidewalks in the wintertime.
- Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.
