About The Position

Amira Minnetonka, a new 55+ active adult rental community, is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Requirements

  • Two years education and/or experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management.
  • Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows.
  • Ability to motivate oneself and work independently
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to relate to the elderly in a patient, compassionate and courteous manner.
  • Current, valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Boiler License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
  • Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
  • Maintain the grounds, trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
  • Assist with painting apartments during turnover, as well as hallway touch ups.
  • Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
  • Shovel and salt sidewalks in the wintertime.
  • Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.
