About The Position

Performs general, routine maintenance and servicing operations throughout the hospital and clinic properties as directed. Essential Function: Maintains established departmental procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, environmental and infection control standards, and hospital policies including compliance policies. Performs repairs on building structures and equipment throughout the facilities. Such work includes painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. Performs required Preventative Maintenance as assigned. Ensures the safety of all patients, visitors, and staff within the facilities and grounds Maintains orderly, clean and safe work areas. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to other sites as needed. Ensures that patient information is treated as confidential information. Adheres to the policies and procedures regarding HIPAA Guidelines. Takes call according to the On-Call schedule. Satisfactorily qualifies for the position through an Iowa Criminal History/Dependent Adult Abuse check within the limits of applicable laws. Additional Job Requirements: Participates in educational programs. Attends meetings as required. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
