About The Position

Maxwood Furniture is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within our warehouse facility. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment across our fast-paced distribution operations. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. This person is not afraid to get their hands dirty and thrives in a collaborative warehouse setting where no two days are the same.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or similar hands-on technical role (warehouse or industrial environment preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and maintenance best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain fleet trucks, forklifts, and yard equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues across equipment and facility systems
  • Obtain quotes and source parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs and ongoing maintenance
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, efficiency, and equipment performance
  • Support general facility upkeep, including structural and operational maintenance as needed
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership and team members to address operational needs and priorities
